If you’re a follower of my blog or Youtube channel, you might have noticed that recently I’ve been on a bit of a makeup binge, and have ended up with a fairly large collection of makeup I’ve yet to try!
As I have so much that I can test out and compare, I thought I’d do a few reviews on my blog and Youtube so you guys can hear my opinions on some products you may never have tried before either!

ELF 100pc Marble Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey guys, so if you're on this blog post because you just watched my ELF unboxing video on YouTube, then here's the first review I promised you! (it didn't take as long as I expected!)
If not, then this is just a quick review on one of the ELF products I received as part of a free gift when I purchased a few things from the ELF website! (and go watch my video!)
So I'm just going to go straight into the review!

So here is the pretty impressive eyeshadow palette, and as the title says, it contains 100 eyeshadows! (both mattes and shimmers), and when I found out this product retails at £15, I was quite impressed! However I was yet to try out the quality of the eyeshadows which is obviously the most important part.
So I did the pain-staking task of swatching all 100 eyeshadow colours when I had unpacked this product, and here are the images...

So as you can see in the images I swatched two rows of colours at a time and pieced the photos together, however when I finished this, I noticed that a lot of the colours are very similar, and I mean VERY similar, almost identical in some cases however there are a large range of colours still in this palette so I'm not going to complain too much.
In some cases, I was pretty unimpressed with the pigmentation of the colours, especially the more shimmery colours, however there were a range of colours I tested that had an AMAZING colour payoff and these were mostly the matte shades, which I guess actually works in my favour as I wear a lot more matte eyeshadows than shimmer. But overall as you can see in the image above, a lot of the colours turned out really nice and do look quite wearable.

Obviously I swatched the colours above using my fingers, so I then tried out some of my preferred colours with brushes and tried out a few eye looks with them, and to be honest, I was a bit more disappointed with the colour payoff when using a brush, as the colour had to really be packed on before it looked as bright as the finger swatches. But either way I pulled off a couple of nice eye looks and for £15 for 100 eyeshadows, you can't go too wrong especially as this palette probably has a lot of colours you won't already have (especially in my case!)

So summing this review up, I would say that this palette would be great for someone starting out with eyeshadows and perhaps wants to try out new colours without spending a tonne of money, but for someone wanting more professional looking pigmented eyeshadows, I wouldn't recommend this palette as you'll probably be unimpressed with half of the colours. But like I said, I received this as a free gift from ELF so I can't really complain!

I hope you enjoyed this review!

Sleek i-Divine Palette and Face Contour Kit Reviews

Surprisingly, I had never actually tried any of the Sleek palettes before now, so when I picked a couple up from my local Superdrug, I thought I would give them a first impressions review.
I'm going to start on the face contour kit, as I had heard a lot of good reviews for the Sleek bronzers and blushes, so as I was in need of a new bronzer, I thought I would pick up this kit that contains both a contouring bronzer and a highlight.

First of all, I like the fact that the bronzer part is larger than the highlight as this is the part of the product that I'm going to be using more, as I often forget to highlight (oops!), and the pan is large enough to pick up an even amount of the product without touching the highlight section.
The bronzer is VERY pigmented but also very blendable and this is great as only a small amount of product is needed, and the colour is actually very flattering too (I bought this kit in 'light'), the highlight part however, isn't as good and is barely noticeable in my opinion, but I guess if your looking for a really subtle highlight, then this could still work for you.
The most impressive thing about this kit is that it is only £6.49! so I will definitely be repurchasing this again, and I will definitely be trying a Sleek blush next time I pop into Superdrug as hopefully they will perform like the bronzer did!

The next product I bought was an eyeshadow palette as I had also heard great reviews on these too, so I picked this up in 'au naturel', a palette of neutral browns and beiges.

For a neutral palette, there are a nice selection of colours;
Top row: 'Nougat' (a soft, matte white, perfect for the inner corner of the eye and highlighting the brow bone), 'Nubuck' (a muted, matte grey, great for a smokey eye), 'Cappuccino' (a soft, neutral brown, perfect for a base colour), 'Honeycomb' (a creamy, matte yellow), 'Toast' (a beautiful warm orange base colour - one of my favourites from this palette), 'Taupe' (a deep shimmer, perfect for the brow bone or centre of the lid).
Bottom row: 'Conker' (a deep, rich red/brown shimmer - another one of my favourites), 'Moss' (a warm, shimmery olive/gold), 'Bark' (a basic matte brown, suitable for filling in the brows!), 'Mineral Earth' (another warm brown shimmer, great for the crease), 'Regal' (a warm, matte red/brown, another great crease colour) and 'Noir' (a basic matte black).
(See swatches below)

Although the top swatches in the above photo are harder to see as they are light colours, all of the eyeshadows are actually very pigmented, and also very blendable and they actually stayed on all night which I'm really impressed with, especially as this palette was only £7.99!! I also like the fact that the majority of this palette is mattes - 8 mattes and 4 shimmers to be precise, as a lot of palettes tend to be mainly shimmers and sometimes I'm just not in the mood for super sparkly eyelids, so this palette is VERY wearable.
However if you are looking for something bolder, this palette comes in many colour variations, ranging from dark, sultry reds and purples, to super bright pinks, yellows and greens!

So all in all, I am very impressed with these two products, and even more impressed with the price, thumbs up Sleek!
